Free Multilingual Legal Services for Low-Income residents and Seniors: The Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is a not-for-profit statewide organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people throughout the state of Washington. Each year, NJP assists thousands of people in need of critical legal assistance. On their website, they have put together a multi-lingual resource listing for COVID-19 relevant legal information ranging from Protection Orders and Evictions to avoiding Coronavirus Scams. UW Medicine “Just One Friend” data visualization: Epidemiologists at UW Medicine created a data visualization page that outline the risk of widespread transmission that could happen if we all visited “just one friend”. Public Health Seattle/King County featured their work in the most recent Public Health Insider blog post titled, “Not Seeing Friends and Family is Hard but it’s Worth it”.

New In-Language Resources Available: Public Health Seattle King County’s COVID-19 webpage now has COVID-19 information available in 30 languages. Recent languages that have been made available are: BurmeseFijianPolishRomanian, and Tongan. The King County Office of Equity and Social Justice released their “Community Members and Small Business Resource Guide” in AmharicArabicSpanishOromoVietnameseRussianTraditional ChineseKoreanSomali, and Tigrinya as well.

Community Spotlight: Mother Africa supporting COVID-19 outreach in South King County: Mother Africa serve Africa refugees and immigrants, Middle Eastern and Afghan communities and provides in-language support in the following languages: Arabic, Swahili, French, Dari, Farsi, Somali and Mai Mai.
